If you are on Unemployment and have been for over 26 weeks –STHU!

If you were on Unemployment for over 99 weeks and are now cut off – STHU!

I am sick and tired of hearing people piss and whine because they are waiting on unemployment checks, they can’t get through on the phone, they didn’t get a letter yet, blah, blah, blah.

Same goes for the people that are bitching because they are “losing their car, house, can’t pay utilities, kids have no food…”(but if you are posting online then you obviously still have a computer and internet service). That is because people who don’t work, don’t have things. If you are not working you shouldn’t expect to live the same life style as when you were working.

Work is doing a service for someone and they pay you money to do it. You are not doing any service…you get no money!

As for you people that are screaming that YOU paid the money in and it is yours to get back – Bullshit! Only 3 states do employees pay into unemployment. If you didn’t work in Pennsylvania, Alaska, or New Jersey then YOU paid in 0 (ZERO) dollars to unemployment! The employer in all other states pays 100% of unemployment tax.

Don’t say that you paid because the employer would have given you a higher wage if they had not paid unemployment. The employer only has to pay minimum wage. No guarantees they would have paid you anything above that.

The money being paid out to people on unemployment after 26 weeks is a loan given to each state, a LOAN that must be paid back to the Federal Government. Who is going to pay that back? Likely it will be paid by employers having an increase on the amount of unemployment tax that THEY pay. That means many businesses will hire less people or hire at lower wages so they are not taxed to death to pay back the loan.

Some of you that are screaming the loudest at how terrible you are being treated by unemployment are the same ones that when a job fair or listing is posted you have 101 reasons why you can’t or won’t apply. That is why you are unemployed. No business wants to hire a whiner that has no ambition.

If an employer is hiring 1 out of the 10 people that apply, then you have to be better than the other 9. Take your “off” time to better your skills and resume. Maybe even work on your people skills, rather than bitching on blogs and Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, look at your profile. If it is filled with Farmville and you cannot even muster up a capitol letter when you write…you don’t look appealing to a potential employer. I am FAR from being a grammar queen yet, I look brilliant next to some of you.

For those of you that want to bitch and say “if it ever happened to you, then you wouldn’t say this stuff”. To freakin late. I have already been unemployed, got no extensions and lost almost everything we owned. Right down to selling the kids’ toys to even get by. We had 1 beater vehicle, chased work, changed occupations, and didn’t expect other people to pay so we could maintain our standard of living.

To blame 1 political party or the other is useless. Each party will give and take to get your vote. The best way to control your vote is to make you dependent upon them.

If it has upset you because I have used the word YOU a little to often in this rant…then it may be that YOU are who I am talking about. Suck up those sobby feelings and spend your time getting a job.

I would also suggest that any of you that are the ones making statement how illegal immigrants are just here for a better life and they should be left alone…Yes, they have a better life and they may have YOUR job.
