I’ve heard of sites being competitive or even greedy when it comes to giving reference links out to other sites but, MSN UK has taken the cake.
I was there reading their 10 stories titled Dangerous Animals in Unlikely Places. Some of the stories quote paragraphs from other news sites…the link they give would be great…if they had placed a complete link in there. Yeah, from the front it looks like they are giving credit to the original but, all you get if you click on it is a 404.
That is about a dirty sneaky trick.
I don’t know if MSN UK is that desperate to cheat the competing sites or if they just want to screw the other people. Thing is they have pictures on each article, with a name as credit but of course no link.
Sure it’s possible that the writers at MSN UK just don’t understand that they must put the full link in to be considered a real link. I mean they do have part of a link. They also must have brought in an expert to do the internal links to their site as all of those work.
News sites are the very 1st ones to throw absolute shit fits if you quote anything from one of their sites, even if you give them a link they are bitching that you stole from their copywrite.
It pisses me off when scammers & scrappers don’t give credit with links but, it really PMO’s me when a huge company does it.
