Sponsored Tweets Twitter Spam Coming Soon to a Twitter Stream Near You!

I see now that John Chow is pushing a program called sponsored tweets, It is with IZEA. They also name a few other ‘celebrity’ tweeters that are using the service.

From what I understand -
Once you sign up, the program looks at how many followers (or maybe includes if you have High value followers) and will then send you offers of ads to send out through your Twitter Stream.

Now, John says he started out asking $125 for his Tweet Price (per ad is what he means, I think). He has since raised it to $250. That is great but, don’t expect yourself to get that much per Tweet Ad.

Some of the people that signed up set their Tweet price at $1 & still got no offers – They will make no money in this program. They could how ever start building a huge following & then possibly get ad offers. That leads me to think that these people will start following mass people in hopes you follow back just so they can send you ads! Super Great *insert sarcastic tone*.

How much spam can Twitter stand? Guess, it will depend on how many people keep following the spammers & putting money in their pockets.

For God’s sake don’t encourage even more spam. Just unfollow these people that push product that they have probably never even used.
