OMG!
I just read that One million children may be misdiagnosed with ADHD: study over at yahoo news. Gee, wonder how much money they spent to figure out that kids are being targeted for drug sales? Not like millions of people haven’t already said this for years.

The Michigan State University study found that prescriptions for the misdiagnoses could represent spending of 320 to 500 million dollars a year, with 80 to 90 million of it paid by Medicaid, a public health insurance program for the poor.

Hell, if you are on any kind of public assistance…just plan on your kid having all kinds of “disorders” because the Government paid health is a freakin cash cow.  The schools are suppose to be a drug free area yet, the biggest drug dealers are allowed access and then the parents are threatened and bullied into “medicating” their kids.

Yes, we know parents who have been threatened by the PUBLIC school that they will call Child Protective Services if they didn’t give their kids med for ADD, ADHD, or antidepressants. Hello, antidepressants are not even OK’ed by the FDA for children. As for the Ritalin type drugs…they are the drug of choice for collage kids. Those little puppies sell like hot cakes on the corner.

To top it off, once your child is labeled with a “Mental” disorder…they could be limited. The Government may say that kid can never own a gun, be in the military, or God forbid if they are ever accused of a crime because they will be at a disadvantage since they had “mental” problems as a child.

I really can’t wait for the new health care to take effect. The psychologist will be making up even more disorders than they already have and then they will take some old meds that aren’t selling and say they will “treat” whatever. Who’s going to pay for all this shit? Tax payers.
I say we stop paying for med to “disorders” that are based on some ones opinion. And if the USA wants to “Fight the War on Drugs” the should start with the doctors and companies that push all this shit.

Maybe they should start letting little kids have a Hookah room. Fill those babies up with some pot and send the hyper kids in for a toke every couple of hours.  It probably wouldn’t hurt their brain chemistry anymore than what those “prescribed” pills do. I’ve never seen anyone be hyperactive when they are stoned. Then we could also save tax money by letting each school grow their own pot…it would be not only a money saver but also an agricultural lesson. See, the kids would be double winners! If the school grows more than they use…they could sell it to fund school supplies…Another bonus!

God, I may have just found the answer to saving public education. I think I should have ran for Governor…none of them can figure out how to balance the public school budget.
